Bible Study Session — February 17, 2026

This week’s Bible study at Bethel Church was based on Luke 24:13–35 (the road to Emmaus), reflecting on the truth that Christ walks with us even when we do not recognize His presence. The gathering emphasized how the hope of the Resurrection unfolds through the Word and fellowship, and how our direction changes once our eyes are opened.

Inter-Community Commemoration
Feast of the Holy Saint Vartan Commanders — Community Memorial Gathering
On February 12, 2026, community leaders gathered at the “Aghajanian” Hall of the Armenian Catholic Holy Trinity “Zvartnots” Church for the inter-community commemoration of the Feast of Saint Vartan. The event brought together clergy, representatives of Armenian institutions, cultural associations, and members of the public in reflection on faith, identity, and national unity. Rev. Dr. Haroutune Selimian emphasized the enduring spiritual and historical significance of Avarayr, calling for unity, steadfast commitment, and preservation of Armenian Christian identity.

Recent Activity
HEKS Webinar on Syria: “From Trauma Upon Trauma”
On February 12, 2026, Rev. Dr. Haroutune Selimian participated in a HEKS webinar titled “Syria: From Trauma upon trauma.” The discussion opened with an overview by HEKS representatives, followed by reflections on Syria’s current situation and the Church’s calling to remain faithful in difficult circumstances. Dr. George Sarkis presented the mission and ongoing ministry of Sunday Schools in Syria, and the webinar concluded with a message of encouragement and hope.
